Spokane man, woman found asleep at red light arrested for check fraud, stolen mail

POST FALLS, Idaho -- Post Falls police arrested a Spokane man and woman for numerous crimes when they were reported asleep in the road. 

According to PFPD, officers were called to Seltice Way and Herborn Place for two people reportedly asleep in a truck at a red light in the road on January 31. 

The citizen who made the call woke to two up and told them to pull over, but they drove away. 

Officers located the truck and pulled them over. A K9 unit alerted officers to possible narcotics in the vehicle.

Police searched and located meth paraphernalia inside. During the search, officers also found dozens of forged checks and suspected stolen mail.
