CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QUEEN CITY NEWS) — A man accused of attempting to rob at least four banks in Charlotte has been arrested, according to Mecklenburg County court records.
The Mecklenburg County jail says the 48-year-old Paul Glover was arrested on November 8 and charged with three counts of attempted common law robbery and one count of common law robbery.
Based on court records, the first alleged offense occurred on October 29 at the Truist Bank on Freedom Drive in west Charlotte. Officials say a victim at the bank told police that the business was robbed with the ‘implied threat of a firearm’. According to the police report, $1,725 in cash was stolen from the bank, the same amount detailed in the court records.
