A New York man was arrested in Roxboro in a human trafficking case that involves a 65-year-old woman.
According to the search warrant in the case, a teller at Truist Bank on Madison Boulevard made a connection between a Jeep in the bank parking lot and a previous instance of someone passing fake checks. She told them that a woman, who appeared to be communicating with someone using a wireless earpiece, tried to use a fake ID. When that woman left the bank, the teller said, she got into a white Jeep with a license plate that began with LMK.
