A 40-year-old man suspected of two bank robberies in Bloomington last week was charged Monday with one of the holdups.
Mark N. Johnson of Bloomington was charged in Hennepin County District Court with second-degree aggravated robbery and fleeing police in connection with the robbery of TopLine Federal Credit Union in the 5200 block of Viking Drive on Thursday.
Johnson was jailed in lieu of $100,000 bail and scheduled to appear in court Tuesday.
According to charges, Johnson gave a teller a note that read "put 20s, 50s and 100s in bag no alarm or I will set off bomb in backpack."
The teller handed over $4,100 in $100 bills, and Johnson left the credit union.
