Return Policy

SFE Return & Refund Policy

Terms and Eligibility

SFE wants you to be completely satisfied with your purchase. If you are not satisfied, please contact SFE immediately to arrange an exchange, credit voucher, or refund. See the details below for return eligibility and terms.

Product Returns:
SFE will provide a full-refund, exchange, or credit voucher (less shipping and handling) if:

  • the wrong product was shipped, or
  • the purchased product is damaged or defective.

If the purchased product fails to meet expectations for any other reason, the customer may be eligible for a partial refund or credit voucher (less shipping, handling, and a possible restocking fee), at the sole discretion of SFE.

To be eligible for a refund, exchange, or credit voucher, the following terms must be met:

  • the product(s) must be returned in full and as received within 10 business days, and
  • the product(s) must be returned at the customer's expense via US Postal Service, FedEx, or UPS  (no C.O.D.s)
  • the product(s) must be insured during return shipping for their full purchase price, and
  • the product(s) must be accompanied by the original packaging, and
  • the product(s) must be accompanied by a full explanation of the damage, defect or dissatisfaction.

Failure to adhere to these terms may result in a reduced or denied refund, exchange, or credit voucher.

Training & Conference Service Refunds:

  • Training and conference registrants who are unable to attend an event may substitute another individual without penalty.
  • SFE will provide a full-refund or credit voucher (less a $15 per person or per line charge) if a registrant cancels their training registration more than 7 days in advance of the scheduled course or workshop date.
  • SFE will provide a full-refund or credit voucher (less a conference cancellation charge), if a registrant cancels their conference registration more than 7 days in advance of the scheduled conference date.

For conferences, cancellation charges may vary. Please be sure to note the cancellation charge for the conference you plan to attend prior to registering.

SFE will not offer any refund, exchange, or credit voucher if:

  • the registrant fails to cancel their registration, or
  • the registrant fails to cancel their registration more than 7 day prior to the event's scheduled date, or
  • the registrant fails to attend the course or workshop they purchased.
