Breaking NewsACH Volume Grows 18 Percent in 2nd Quarter 2005The Automated Clearing House Network grew by nearly 18 percent in the 2nd Quarter 2005 compared to a year ago, according to NACHA statistics. More than 2.63 billion transactions were conducted during the quarter, worth more than $5.9 trillion. These figures represent growth rates of 18.0% and 8.4%, respectively, over the same quarter of 2004. There were 1.44 billion debits and 1.19 billion credits in the 2nd Quarter, for a total of 2.632 billion. The statistics include commercial inter-bank and government transactions, but not “On-Us” transactions.
