The Regional Payments Associations across the country
have partnered to offer some of the most important
information that every Aspiring AAP needs to know in
preparing for the AAP exam in six teleseminars that will
provide an overview of the information the AAP candidate
should already have covered in previous studies.
This six-week series of 90 minute teleseminars is
designed to offer the Aspiring AAP a review of the ACH
Network, ACH Rules, Test taking tips, Regulations and
other payment systems, including Check, Wire & Card.
The program is designed and managed by the Regional
Payments Associations and will be presented by an AAP
ACH trainer (already accredited ACH professional)
from week to week that is particularly knowledgeable
on that weeks topic. The series topics and dates for
2010 will be:
- Monday August 16, Session 1 –
Payment Systems Overview INCLUDING details on the
Regulations that affect each payment system
- Monday August 23, Session 2 – ACH
Products (to include the SEC Codes) and benefits (this
would be the marketing piece for each product) – SEC
Codes/Products will include details of the rules for
the specific product PLUS the benefits
- Monday August 30, Session 3 – ACH
Rules – reviewing what's in the "rules" section
of the Rule Book – 14 Articles and 11 Appendices
- Monday September 13, Session 4 –
ACH Operational process and exception processes and
"overview" of the different types of ACH

- Monday September 20, Session 5 –
Regulations
- Monday September 27, Session 6 –
Technical Specs and Formats PLUS Arbitration and Rules
Enforcement
All teleseminars will begin at 12:00 PM Central.
Each session will be 90 minutes: 60 minutes of
instruction and 30 minutes for Q&A
